Book Review: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (Hercule Poirot, #4)The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've read quite a few of Agatha Christie's novels and I've liked them all. This one caught me by surprise, though, as I typically like the Ms. Marple series better than the Poirot series. Poirot is sometimes a bit obnoxious for my tastes, while Ms. Marple is funny. What I liked about this book is that it reminded me of how I would write a mystery - that is, it is a bit atypical. The narrator is very amusing and makes the story very engaging. This is not a spoiler review, so I won't go into details of the book. Suffice to say, I appreciated the twist at the end, which was refreshing. I recommend for all mystery lovers, and a must read for Agatha Christie fans.
